Y Spa at Wyboston Lakes is delighted to announce it has won the “Spa of the Year” category for the East region at the 6th English Hair & Beauty Awards.
English Hair and Beauty Award put together a campaign asking people to vote. This was done online, through databases and social media. Y Spa was shortlisted based on the votes received from the public. Y Spa was announced as winners at the prestigious and glamorous award ceremony held on the 19th of March at Athena in Leicester.
Emma-Jane North, Spa Director says “We are very proud to be recognised by the public in this way and alongside other great Spa’s. We truly believe at Y Spa that we are one of the UK’s best Spas and we hope this is reflected in all that we do.”
Y Spa opened in November 2012. The project investment totalled just over £3 million; the Spa covers 8,000sq ft of internal space and a Spa Garden on the Wyboston Lakes Hotel site and took just over 7 months to build and complete.

Y Spa’s total philosophy is about health, wellness and rejuvenation with many of those things relying on pleasure. So, for example, the Y Spa Café serves sparkling wines, draught lager, cupcakes and brownies as well as seriously tasty low fat options, something to ignite the taste buds and allow you and your friends to feel totally indulged!
Incorporating an extensive range of spa facilities including the innovative Thermal Spa suite which includes a soft sauna with fantastic views of the hydrotherapy pool, a salt cabin, steam room, experience showers, Rasul and innovative Frost Wall, new to the UK to cool guests off after a ‘steamy session’.
The stunning external hydrotherapy pool links seamlessly to the inside via a water filled glass tunnel in which guests can submerge themselves to enter the pool. Y Spa also plays host to the UK's first authentic Finish 100 year old solid Kelo Sauna. Large glass windows provide great views over the hydrotherapy pool to an external deck with fireplace.
The Big Sleep and the Chill Out provide comfy beds, therapeutic water beds and cosy, hideaway reading pods, with a double sided open fire to create a warm ambient atmosphere to totally relax in.
All eleven therapy rooms including a special double therapy suite with mud Rasul cabin are sumptuously furnished and equipped will all the latest in Spa therapy.
