Although many restrictions have been lifted, our commitment remains the same, which is why you’ll notice we’ve kept some of our practises and protocols in place. So, whilst we say goodbye to social distancing, we don’t say goodbye to your safety.

The rule of 6 no longer applies to dining, and we are now able to resume normal bar service. Our online food ordering portal still allows for a minimal contact experience and is easy to use. The restaurant & your table will still be subject to enhanced cleaning regimes.

Your Room...

Your room is deep cleaned and sealed before entry, and all non-essential items have been removed. House keeping will not enter your room again unless your duration of stay exceeds 2 nights.

Social Distancing

Social distancing rules no longer apply and we are able to operate the restaurant and hotel at full capacity, with that said we do still encourage guests to be courteous around others so that everyone feels safe.

What Can I Expect

Some practises will remain in place. For example, we will continue to fog all public areas, and are still leaving in place enhanced cleaning regimes. On entry guests and team members will be temperature checked discretely and those above the normal level will be refused entry. The entire resort has also gone cashless.

What Else?

Face coverings are no longer mandatory, but we will be encouraging guests and team members to continue to wear them, especially in situations where larger quantities of people are. The NHS will still be visible, you can check in using the QR code at Reception.



Breathing fresh air has never been more important. At The Waterfront Hotel and Y Spa, we have the following energy-efficient ventilation systems in place. These are maintained by an external contractor, on a regular service schedule, to ensure they are operating effectively.

  • Individual A/C units providing heating and cooling
  • Air handling units providing fresh air in and expelling old air and heating this to aid the A/C on colder days
  • When switched on fresh air in and out is activated
  • Fresh air coming in is filtered
